Girls U11's Wildcats - Boldmere Falcons

Extra time heartbreak for the U11 Wildcats but a fantastic team effort and another brilliant match full of talent.

In front of a big travelling support, we started nervous as Boldmere took the lead in the first minute after a deflection from a corner.

Midway through the first half Boldmere went 2-0 ahead and we now had a huge challenge on our hands to stop them running away with the match.

We switched Imogen into midfield at halftime and she made an immediate impact - scoring less than a minute after the restart! We were back in the game! 

Maisie then powered an equaliser into the net from inside the box. We had levelled the match - fantastic knee slide celebrations from the team!

Both teams had chances to win the game - Maisie clearing off the line a powerful effort from Boldmere before the Boldmere keeper came racing out of goal to deny Isabelle one-on-one.

Extra time and still level at 2-2 at halftime in extra time. We were breaking forward regularly and it looked like it we would go on and win the match but a Boldmere freekick with just a couple of minutes to play flew into the back of the net to give them the lead. Still Maisie had a long-range shot pushed round the post by the keeper before Boldmere wrapped it up with another goal in the last minute.
