Whitnash kicked off the game, launching an immediate attack. But Rory W's solid defending led to the first corner of the match. Stockton quickly took control, with Louie H dazzling everyone with his dribbling skills, pushing the team up the pitch despite the muddy conditions turning the game into a gritty battle.
Louis C was a force to be reckoned with, winning multiple 50/50 challenges. Louie H continued his impressive form, dribbling down the right and unleashing a shot that rattled the post. Moments later, he was brought down, earning a free kick. From the set-piece, Stockton worked the ball to Oliver T, whose shot was brilliantly saved by the Whitnash keeper.
Whitnash countered, but Colby P was up to the task with a great save. The midfield was a battleground, with Louis C making a crucial tackle and getting a shot away. Whitnash had several attacks, but Colby P stood firm with more fantastic saves. Jude T came on and made two strong tackles, helping Stockton push forward. Reuben M-J and Liam R combined well, driving Stockton up the pitch. Jude T's dribbling won a corner, and Reuben M-J's hard work in winning the ball back and linking up with Liam R kept the pressure on Whitnash. Stockton finished the half on a high note.
The second half began with Stockton on the front foot. Liam R threaded a perfect pass to Jude T, but the Whitnash keeper was equal to it. Whitnash's attack down the left was thwarted by a superb save from Colby P. His massive kick upfield found Jude T, who challenged the keeper well. Jude T then set up Oliver T, who nearly scored.
Louie H and Louis C returned to the pitch, putting in strong challenges and working tirelessly for the team. Jude T's relentless effort won the ball back in the Whitnash half, leading to a shot from Oliver T. A double tackle from Jude T and Louis C allowed Stockton to break down the left. A loose kick from the Whitnash keeper found Rory W, who dribbled past two defenders and coolly slotted home to give Stockton the lead.
Moments later, Louie H won the ball back and unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the area, doubling Stockton's lead. Whitnash fought back, managing to halve the lead with a well-taken goal. Jude T continued to battle, winning the ball back and earning a free kick on the edge of the area. Louie H tested the keeper with the resulting free kick. Whitnash had a couple of late chances, but Colby P's heroics ensured Stockton held on for the win.
