Boys U10's Lightning - Upper Lighthorne U9s

Today was a special day for the boys. So far this season we have played some really good football, but not quite had enough gas for the duration.

The day started with a well respected silence for our fallen troops which was appreciated by both sets of parents. Within 15 seconds of the game starting Ethan picked up the ball to take on  many players to score an early goal. This was soon followed by a great effort from George. 

Upper Lighthorne then started to find their feet  and play some good football until Jenson, in his new role scored a great goal. 

The second half continued the way we finished the first, and before long Jenson completed his hattick and George added with another great strike.

The boys continue to grow as a team and today summed up their hard work in training. Credit to Upper Lighthorne  for playing some good football, making our defence have to work really hard and our concentration co tinued to the final whistle.
