A fantastic start to the season!
The boys were raring to go for the start of the new season and lay down a marker with a dominate display.
First half Stockton were first to every ball, worked really hard off the ball and played some lovely football. They were rewarded for their efforts with 5 goals in 25 minutes. 2 from Ben and Thomas plus 1 from Jaxon meant that Stockton went into half time with a strong lead.
Half time 5-0
The opposition came out fighting in the second half and put Stockton under some early pressure. They managed to get 2 goals back and this shocked Stockton back into life after a slow start.
A penalty gave Ben the chance to complete a hat trick and also provide a bit of breathing space as the half went on. Stockton started to get back into a rhythm again and created chance after chance but were unable to convert them. With 10 minutes to go Ben got his fourth goal after some brilliant wing play by Thomas. With a minute to go there was just enough time for Thomas to complete his debut hat trick.
Final Score 8-2
The reason this result was so good was because every player in the squad gave it everything. From the goalkeeper all the way through the team they were completely focused and willing to work hard for eachother in order get a result.
Well done boys you should be proud of yourselves!
