Girls U13's - Kingshurst
The u12s got their first win under their belts today, and didnt they deserve it!
We could have been 4- 0 up after 10 mins but the ball wouldn't cross the line.
That soon changed when Freya cut in from the right hand side and slotted home for her first goal for the club.
This was quickly followed by a goal for Helen, who was enjoying a rare spell up front.
Sophie added a third soon after, to give us a 3-0 lead at half time.
Unfortunately, one of the Kingshurst players was feeling unwell, and collapsed on the pitch as both sides walked off.
The girls all behaved impeccably during the medical emergency, showing compassion and care towards the player. With no prompting, they clapped the Kingshurst player off the pitch as she was taken to hospital to be checked over.
After a long delay, the girls responded brilliantly and Eggie scored her second of the season almost immediately. This was quickly followed by a deserved goal for Alyssia, giving us a 5-0 lead.
Next on the score sheet was Ava, who
finished nicely from an Alyssia corner.
Another corner shortly after, was deflected by an unfortunate Kingshurst defender into her own net.
With a handsome lead, it was a good opportunity for the girls to try some different positions. Maggie had a spell up front with Eggie, whilst Poppy and Eva had a go in defence. Ava put in her best performance of the season in Central midfield , whilst Sophie tried almost every position.
We couldn't be prouder today. The passing on show was tremendous , and the girls played some sparkling football . The girls have been working towards this big win, and fully deserved it. Absolute stars, everyone of them!
Freya was picked as our player of the match , and Alyssia was the parents player . But today, all of the girls were winners. 💙🤍⚽️
