Girls U13's - GNP

Tonight the u12 girls welcomed GNP to Stockton for a midweek fixture. 

Our girls started slowly , and looked nervous in the first half, trailing 1-0 at the break. 

After half time,  they stepped up the pace, and started to string some passes together. 

A lovely passing move ended with Helen slotting home the equaliser 6 minutes into the second half. 

Eggie soon scored out second to put us in front, after a dominant spell. 

GNP scored a lucky equaliser with 5 minutes to go, the ball squeezing in at the near post. 

After some dogged defending in the last 5 minutes, and the game looking like it would end as a draw, the ball was played across the penalty area, finding Holly at the far post who forced the ball home. 

Straight after the restart,  the ref blew the whistle to finish an entertaining game  and Stockton sneaked the win. 

The girls showed great character to take the 3 points, and some of the defending near the end was epic. 

Player of the match went to Helen tonight  and parents player to Sophie. 

All of the girls played a part in winning the 3 points though, and should be proud of their efforts. ♥️🖤
