Girls U12's Lionesses - Counden Court

🥶 one this morning !  Think was a bit of a shock to our girls !

It wasn’t to be our day today but still some great play during the game. Could have been a draw easily if we managed to sneak a couple of our chances away in the second half.

The game started nicely for us with some nice play between the girls. Our first goal was a lovely, chipped finish from Mimi over the Counden keeper to make it 1 – 1, her second goal of the season. Both teams were going for it, real end to end feel to it, and was great to see some duels taking place in midfield between the two teams.

Our second goal was started by a great dribble and pass from Elysia, and tidy finish from Sophia with her right foot taking her goal tally to 4 for the season This was followed by a equalising goal from Counden to take us in level at half time.

The Opposition were a really good test for us, quick and direct and unfortunately scored more goals than us in the in the second half to take the victory.

Some excellent midfield play today between Sophia & Emma earned them a joint parents player of match, and Mimi was coaches player for hard work and nice finish for her goal. 

Onto our final three games before Christmas, all away from home.
