U17/8 JPL 24/25 - Chorleywood

U16 vs Chorley wood. 

After last weeks game the girls were ready to go. We changed some player’s positions from the previous games and began attacking. The girls attacked from the whistle and we had the opposition in their half with no way out.  We conceived a corner kick, Remi stepped up to take the kick and what a kick it was straight into the back of the net putting the girl in the lead 8 minutes into the game⚽️. The game continued as it started and we was strong with possession and continued to counter down the wings with some excellent balls from the midfield unfortunately we wasn’t able to counter and increase our lead. The half time whistle blew and we was undeniably the stronger side. 

As the second half continued we found ourselves being on the defence with down brilliant runs from the opposition but nothing that our defence couldn’t handle. Both teams battled and had several opportunities but neither side could find an opportunity to score. We held onto our lead and kept the ball to see the game out. 

The girls have started their season off to a great streak and are showing some very impressive football. All the girls walked of the pitch happy and smiling, player of the match was our captain Lola and she has had a great start to the season but today she showed leadership and took control of her defensive line. She made some very important challenges and never gave up.
