U11 Cougars - Carshalton Athletic

The boys first time playing with a Veo cam but unfortunately still chasing that elusive first win.. and elusive bit of luck! 

Carshalton are without a doubt the strongest team we have played this season but it took them till the second half to take the lead through yet another bit of misfortune. Isaac was in sticks for FC again, and put in yet another superb performance. 

The boys worked hard to build from the back and looked threatening on the counter attack playing through the lines. Louis had clearly had his Weetabix this morning firing in some incredible crosses from LW but it always seemed to bobble past or just miss the striker. 

The Preston Zidane was captain for the day and put in a leaders performance from the back. Tom P worked tirelessly chasing every loose pass but we couldn't quite get that end result. 

The second half became more stretched, but once again Carshalton took their chances well, including a superb finish that you had to just admire. 

Jojo put in a great shift in attack holding the ball up in the third quarter and started to create more links to the wingers - another big positive. Big shoutouts to Ari who played the last quarter as CB and looked very comfortable, and Theo who built on his CDM role from last week, looking very confident. 

Jermaine and Harry forced saves out of the keeper later on in the game as Cougars pushed on for a consolation goal but it just would not come. 

So many positives to take into the break. One of the best teams we have played over the last 3 years, and for a lot of the fixture the boys were very much in the game. Player of the Match was Jojo for putting in a superb shift on the wing and up front, leading by example.
