Girls U10's - Daventry Panthers
At home fixture vs Daventry in the cup. Games vs Daventry rarely disappoint and this one was no exception. It was a strong performance from all of the girls today in a very competitive match.
In the early part of the game both sides were competing well but holding firm.
Sienna and Daphne both had good efforts on goal as did Edith, a great effort saved by the goalkeeper after a bursting run from defence. The chance came for Molly to break the deadlock and she took it brilliantly with a goal from a tight angle following a great assist from Amelia.
The 2nd half was equally competitive. Harriet was having a fine game in goal with some important saves and blocks showing great awareness.
A great combination between Layla and Daphne after they almost left it to one another saw Daphne increase our lead firing past the keeper. A very nice goal, her 3rd in two games since joining us.
Daventry pulled one back late on but we held firm to take the win. 👏🏻 Onto Haunchwood next week.
