Game one vs Cambuslang:
Slow start against Cambuslang who scored 8 tries in first half to Oban none. However, second half was fantastic with a great first try for Éowyn Rose Price, followed up by some incredible defence and next try for Oban was from Molly Smith. Then the try of the match with everyone touching the ball and Molly finishing off a wonderful team try. The second half finished Cambuslang 4 Oban 3.
Final score: Oban 3 - Cambuslang 12
Game two vs Biggar:
Biggar scored a few tries before Oban scored another wonderful team try finished off this time by Alice McDonald. Then came a try saving tackle and turnover from Molly. Followed by a huge run and fantastic solo try from Jaime McIntyre. First half ended: Biggar 4 - Oban 2. Second half started with some massive hits from Oban resulting in a lovely run from Jamie and a try by Molly.
Millie Bonniwell was creating some amazing space with 2 brilliant passes that resulted in length of the pitch runs. One of which Molly scored. Try saving tackles from Molly Éowyn, Mary Blomfield and Jaime meant the game finished: Biggar 8 - Oban 6.
Final score: Oban 6 - Biggar 8
Game three vs Waysiders:
This was our best team performance with the first try coming from a great run by Millie setting up Jaime for a wonderful try. Jaime was possessed this match with ferocious tackling that brought the whole team level up. With try saving tackles from Éowyn, Millie and Faraid Winterton. Faraid this match had mastered the rucks and was stealing the opposition's ball on numerous occasions. An Alice break set up another Jaime try. Mary had two incredible half pitch runs one of which resulted in a try for Molly from a great Mary pass. Second half started with a try saving tackle from Millie before Alice took off with a great solo try and then another run to set up Molly. Molly made an incredible pick from ruck to feed Jaime for another try. A try saving tackle from Faraid and from Jaime meant that final score came in at 8 tries for Oban to 5 for Waysiders.
Final score: Oban 8 - Waysiders 5
They all played brilliantly today but Molly was player of the match, great try scoring, defensive tackles, team support and positive game play. Well done Molly🏉💚❤️
