Girls U13's - Nuneaton borough
The u13 girls were away at Nuneaton today. On a bright morning, the girls dazzled with a quality performance.
They started well, taking the game to Nuneaton, and putting the pressure on early doors.
We took the lead on 8 minutes, after Holly pressed the Keeper, forcing an error, and tapping home from close range.
Holly bagged another on 20 mins , running through the defense, and slotting home nicely.
After a couple of near misses, Stockton scored their third from a corner, with debutant Flo forcing rhe ball home, after having a couple of earlier shots saved.
In the second half we were able to make some changes, as we were in a fairly comfortable position.
Alyssia bagged number 4 on 42 minutes, a well deserved goal after showing an excellent work rate today.
On 50 minutes, alyssia broke the defensive line and finished smartly from the edge of the box, to put us 5-0 up. The girls deserved this result today, earning their first win of the season. I said last week, that someone was going to get a tonking soon, and we saw it this morning.
Wonderful effort from all 14 today. So many positives to take away including , the pressing of the defenders by out strikers, lots of brave headers defending corners , a promising debut from Flo, and some tough midfield battling from Sophie, Eva and Ava.
So proud of them all, hopefully lots more wins to come ❤️ 🖤⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
