Girls U11's Wildcats - Kingshurst Pavilions
A good effort this morning by the Wildcats against a more experienced Kingshust team. Kingshurst were really quick to every ball and kept the pressure up winning a lot of corners in the first half of the game and we defended almost all of them very well.
Emily scored an impressive goal - an equaliser in the first half - with a powerful finish into the top corner. Emily also came close to hitting the clubhouse windows with a tremendous defensive clearance at the end of the half. 💥
We created a few opportunities to score more but Kinghurst did defend very well - the dropkicks from the Kinghurst goalkeeper were fantastic and will cause teams lots of problems.
It looks like we have found a GoalKeeper! 🧤Its the most difficult position on the pitch - too often the saves are forgotten about when goals go in. Emilie-Rose's effort and performance in goal was rightly recognised by everybody as she was awarded 🌟Player of the Match and 🌟Parents Player of the Match. Lots of saves, commanding the area and getting her hands on the ball at every opportunity.
