HOW TASTY was this WIN?!!!

We played in a 1-3-4-1 (1-3-2-3 in possession) against a 1-4-3-1/1-4-2-2.

We started very well the match, scoring in the first minute.

It wasn't an easy match. The opposition caused us problems, and had good patterns of play, where it was noticeable that they know how to play out from the back with short combinations.

The key for our success, was that these boys are willing to learn, and they were focus to listen and ingrain the match instructions. They have interpretated very well what it was asked for them to try to apply on the pitch. They understood their roles and responsibilities. Not all the time, they executed well, but they tried their best, and when they do their best, they are closer to achieve positive things. We weren't able to play out that much, and play with support play. On the other hand, our players, understood and applied on a very positive note the principles of play attacking and defending. They were fantastic in attacking transitions, very nice through balls. Something, that needs more work on, but is very pleasant to see them not passing to teammate's feet, but being creative and make passes to empty areas looking for wingers runs. We defended very well the entire game, we still had a couple of moments "where the "Ghosts" from the past scared us, with a shot on the post of our goal and another where our keeper responded with high note! Not conceding in those moments , made all the players believe that they could get the win, 3 points! In a moment of creativity, we scored the second goal, seven minutes to the end. The team has shown a very good mentality, they took care of each other on the pitch, very soldiary defending. They kept a clean sheet against a team that could have caused us more problems that they actually did, that is credit to how compact the team was and how they used the full depth of the pitch to exploit spaces. All players with no exception, had a massive contribution to this fantastic score.
Not always will be like this, but is reinforcing the positive things they have done in this match, and keep applying in the future, whilst improving in other aspects of the game!!!

Congratulations!!! Now is time to enjoy the "taste" of a victory, and work even harder and united, to keep having this taste throughout the season.

All for one, and one for all, together we stand, divided we fall!!

lets go EFA!!!
