Girls U9's Lionesses - Soccer Rockz

A close game today, the girls sadly didn't come out with the win even though they deserved to win. 

First half:

A strong start saw us making some good plays, pushing the ball up the pitch and challenging their defence. 

A ball through our defence fell to their striker allowing her to finish past our goalie. 

The girls were determined to change the scoreline, they were confident and kept driving with the ball. 

A mistake from their defence saw a ball played through to Pheobe which allowed her to drive at their last defender and put the ball in the back of the net. 

Our girls kept pushing and putting their tackles in.

Unfortunately the oppsition managed to push high up the pitch and score again.

Second half:

We made some changes, the girls went back out focused to win.

Some passes and brilliant plays from everyone. 

We got plenty of balls and chances higher up the pitch. All the girls are too generous and kept passing to eachother rather than shooting. They all have the confidence to score and next week will all hopefully take their chances. 

A brilliant performance and some good confidence from everyone.
