Girls U13's - Kingshurst
The girls were very excited to be back in action today, and the football on show reflected that. They controlled the match from beginning to end , and played some wonderful football at times. We have been working hard on passing , and becoming comfortable on the ball, and we saw the benefits of that this morning.
Holly opened the scoring after 7 mins , adding to her growing tally for the season. After a dominant passage of play, Alyssia turned smartly to double our lead on 28 mins.
The second half started slowly, but the girls were comfortable throughout, rarley allowing the opposition to trouble Robyn in goal. When they did break through, our defence were on hand to repel the threat.
Halfway through the second half, Sophie grabbed our 3rd goal of the game. The scoreline didn't reflect our dominant performance today but credit must go to the Kingshurst keeper who made at least 4 or 5 really good saves .
Player of the match went to Eva, who was outstanding in midfield.
Parents player went to Maggie, who always looks so calm on the ball in defence.
It was a very pleasing performance this morning , and was enjoyed by all.
