Girls U11's Wildcats - Leamington Lions GLA
Fantastic battle today between the Wildcats and Leamington Lions.
Leamington took the lead after 8 minutes but Stockton didn’t let their heads drop. Hattie levelled the match after 20 minutes, and less than a minute late Stockton took the lead with Arabella scoring!
A penalty for Leamington made it 2-2 after 30 minutes.
It was Leamington who scored next - 3-2 up with 20 minutes remaining.. could Stockton get back in the game..? Yes!
Hattie levelled the match - her 6th goal of the new season - now our top goalscorer so far.
Stockton were not done and Hollie found herself with space in the box and a brilliant low finish past the Leamington goalkeeper to make it 4-3!
With 5 minutes to play Leamington grabbed an equaliser and were very close to stealing the win with the last kick of the match - a powerful shot inside the box which was saved fantastically by Elsie on the line - the Leamington and Stockton players congratulating Elsie after the full time whistle.
