U10 Blue | Mark Clapham - Drighlington

Garforth Villa U9 Blues returned to action today, kicking off the second leg of the season against the talented Drighlington Juniors U9s Yellow. Having previously faced Drighlington in a challenging Cup game resulting in a 2-1 loss, today's match saw a triumphant turnaround with a 2-1 victory! Despite freezing temperatures, the satisfaction of the win, echoed by Kieran and Rob, made it worthwhile😀

The boys earned their victory through exceptional team and individual performances, and also want to note maintaining good behavior on the sideline - Thank you Lads it’s so much nicer when we don’t have to tell you off (as often) 😂 

Back to the Game….While acknowledging the need for ongoing improvement in training, the progress on their journey was evident today even after a long break away 👌

A shoutout to all ALL players for their fantastic performance and giving their best - you all played exceptionally well today! 

Clappers set the tone by opening the scoreline with a precise shot into the bottom left corner. 

A special shoutout to our Man of the Match Samson you showcased strength and control, making determined  runs with the ball that opened up the opposition's defense and scoring the second goal. 

Also, want to mention Coppers who demonstrated commendable footwork, ball control taking what time he had, moving the ball to our teams advantage, and lots of confidence, contributing significantly to the team's success.
