U11 Calcio Talent & Select - Wetherby Athletic u-12

Great 8-1 win today! The boys played brilliantly, especially considering we were up against a team with players a year older. They showed great character and were excellent in their 1v1 battles, both attacking and defending. It was awesome to see them put into practice what we’ve been working on in training, particularly taking on players in wide areas.

Special mention to Rocco, Seb, and Josh for scoring two goals each, Fin for his goal, and I’m really happy for Sammy to get on the scoresheet in his first game back from injury.👏

It was tough to manage everyone’s minutes today since we only played 60 minutes (we usually play 80), plus we had 5 subs as their coach thought they might be short on players and need to borrow some of ours, but that wasn’t the case in the end. I did my best to make sure everyone got a fair amount of time on the pitch.👍🏼
