MR U18 NL Gold 2024/2025 (Market Road League) - Sommers Town

A tough defeat, hard to digest.

I assume the responsibility on this one. I decided to move some players from gold to silvers and vice versa to have 2 balanced teams to attempt to win both matches. At the end, lost both.

In what concerns this match, we controlled and dominated for most part of the game. However, our offensive process was pretty much slow and predictable.

The few times we accelerate we were close to score, but their keeper was  there to frustrate us.

In the second half, we scored, but then our team, lost focus for 5 minutes, and conceded 2 goals, and could have been 3.

With few time to play, we tried to react, but it was late.

Credit to the opposition, that was patient, defended well and were clinical with the few chances to score they had.

This score is another bump on the road towards our objective of winning the league.

Nevertheless, there are several matches ahead, and we need to go one by one. In the end, we will see if we achieve our objective.

This season, I see 4 or 5 teams with chances to win the league. Right now, we need to look up on the table. Hopefully, in a few weeks, we can be the ones looking down from the top. Step by step.
