MR U18 NL Gold 2024/2025 (Market Road League) - Bloomsbury U17s

Another Derby!!!

The rivalry between these two academies is huge (at least in this age group).

Before the match, we were three points behind them, but still with 2 matches to play.

This year, the U18s league is extremely competitive, and I risk to say, that 6 teams are on the run for the tittle.

We aimed to win this match, against a team that was unbeatable (4wins,4 draws).

The match, overall, had a more dominance from our team. We tested their goalkeeper several times, our keeper didn't have too much work. However, from around 30 shots we scored 2, whilst the opposition was more clinic and maybe in half of the shots scored twice, too.

If there was a team who would deserve the 3 points , it would be EFA. However, considering that we were down 2-1, managing to get the equaliser, in the end isn't too bad.

A win in this match, definetely would put us in the pole position for this tight race, and would get the opposition most probably out of that race.

With the 2-2 draw. Everything stays the same. However, our margin of error for the last seven matches is very narrow...

We aim to do the Double (League and CUP), we might not win any, but the mentality that we all have to build, is that we need to improve session by session, and then get that effort as a reflection in matches. Doing it, we will be closer to achieve those objectives!!

Heads up. Next match is the most important one!! Los Campos get ready!!
