U13 Turquoise 24/25 - LDGA

today we hosted LDGA for the second week running! This time in the cup.
Having played them twice we knew exactly how to approach the game. We started off brilliantly and from the off we were on top. We were making headway down both wings and giving their defense lots of trouble. Pixie played a lovely ball through to alexia who went through one on one and slotted home for an early lead 1-0 ⚽️ we continued to press and ettie played a ball down the line and again Alexia was on the end of it, cut inside and slotted home for her second! 2-0 ⚽️ Ellie came out of goal to go up top and she played a lively ball through and once again Alexia found space and hit a shot straight at the keeper who spilt it and she pounced to knock in the rebound. 3-0 ⚽️ we were flying! We made some changes all over the pitch. Mixing it up a little bit to give some of the girls a chance of playing different positions. 
Half time 3-0 

the score didn’t reflect the first half as we had so many chances! Their goalkeeper was unbelievable! She made save after save and if it wasn’t for her we would have been out of sight! 
second half we continued to press and attack but we just couldn’t find the next goal. Again their keeper was brilliant and we was abit wasteful. With 15 minutes to go we had another shuffle up. For some reason  we just let them come at us. We sat back and they got on top. They broke through and Pheobe made and great diving save only for the ball to rebound off of ettie and bounce into the goal! 3-1 ⚽️ that seemed to give them a lift but with only 5 minutes left the game was done. 

We did what we had to today. And it’s always hard to play the same team twice in a row! 

We go on to the quarter finals full of confidence.
