U11 Cougars - Cheam Sports

FC played out a memorable Desmond 2-2 against a very impressive Cheam side that had practically mirrored our start to the season. 

We raced into the lead early doors after some dogged defending lead to a through ball from TC to send Harry on a counter attack, who bullied his way between the two defenders and force past the keeper. 

FC were unfortunately caught on "All Out Attack" mode as Cheam equalised after a very quick counter attack from our corner, and despite a great first save from Louis they managed to get the ball over the line at the second attempt.

The game was still 1-1 going in to the 4th Qtr, Cheam in the ascendancy in the 2nd but FC defending brilliantly. 

The 4th was all FC, constantly banging on the door to take the lead, and we finally did through Tom P - who was causing the oppo nightmares in attack - after Harry had fed him through, capitalising on a mistake from their keeper. 

It looked all set for FC to grab the win but with minutes to go their tricky little striker managed to bundle the ball over the line after a long ball forward - heartbreaking!

On balance, a draw was the right result. Super proud of the boys digging in and working hard for each other. Defended like beasts out of possession and looked to play entertaining football as much as possible.

PotM was Louis after great teamwork for volunteering to go in goal for two quarters and being a machine in CDM.
