U10 Calcio Talent & Select - Normanton Pro Stars Academy U10

A great start for Calcio in the 1st third as Seb scored a screamer from his own half, Seb struck a rolling ball into the top corner, leaving the keeper no chance. Freddie added a 2nd goal minutes later, with a clever drive inside from the kick in and a fantastic shot into the far corner (the celebration matched the finish 🙃). What was most impressive from the 1st third was the organisation, and the way of playing out was clear to see, the team are developing each week. 

The 2nd third was abit tougher as Normanton began to press higher and with more aggression and scored a couple goals back to make it 3-2 to Normanton. However, we stilled play some brilliant stuff, and playing out in the same style we had worked on in training over the last few weeks. 

We created lots of chances from our organisation and made it hard for Normanton to play out due to our pressing and marking, giving us a great balance when defending. A great solo goal from Finlay brought us to 3-3 as he drove half the pitch and scored with a great finish. Normanton came back and scored from a long ranged effort, but Calcio kept pushing and found an equaliser late on with Freddie once again scoring from the left side. We kept pushing and was unlucky not to win the game in the end, but a great competitive game from both sides.
