U9 Purple - SoccerRockz U9 Cyclones

An incredibly difficult morning against strong Tier 3 opposition. Our team started off strong and exchanged a few early goal threats, we played without our recognised striker and adapted initially very well, however it was clear that the opposition had some very strong and technical attacking players. Our press from the front was unusually slow and lethargic, this provided easy out balls for the opposition with long passes to bypass our press. 

Once we conceded the fourth at the end of the first half, it became an enormous task to recover and despite a regrouping at half time the goal at the beginning of the second half really did suck the energy and belief from the team. 

There are many things we will take and learn from this game but importantly the team needs to stick together and work hard to improve as a unit.
