U10 Purple - Rugby pumas
Brakes made an excellent start to the game with some lovely crisp passing and interplay between the midfield and attack. They pressed high up the pitch forcing defenders into mistakes and were eventually rewarded with a well taken goal by Artem. However, Rugby Borough soon found their feet and equalised soon after. The rest of the first half was an end to end with both teams creating chances with Artem grabbing his second but it was the home side that led at the break. After half time Brakes pushed forward to get back into the game and dominated from the majority of the second half and were rewarded with a lovely individual effort by Sam. Unfortunately they just couldn’t find the back of the net enough times to pull level. All the boys put in a great effort and are well set for the coming campaign having blown away the early season cobwebs.
Edward said “I really enjoyed the game. I think we played well as individuals but we need to work harder as a team next week.”
