It was back to league action after their cup triumph for Brakes with a trip to play Christ the King Blue. The tone for the game was set early on with Brakes pressing forward and dominating the game. 

Some neat passing and direct running led to them creating a number of chances before they finally went ahead when Edward did well to keep the ball in play before firing home with a cross shot from a tight angle. 

CTK had their moments in the game but didn’t get any joy out of the Brakes defence with MOTM Ollie particularly impressive. Brakes continued to create chances but both Artem and Rufus saw their efforts hit the woodwork. Despite the missed chances Brakes were never truly in trouble and saw out a 1-0 victory for a seventh win on the bounce.
