Boys U14 (2011) Major 1 - BBC United
A man must break his back to earn his day of leisure, McCartney and Lennon wrote a long time ago. Naas certainly proved this to be true. A scrappy first half finished with Naas one down after indecisiveness allowed BBC to get in and score in a half where naas had chances but BBC's keeper stood up to them.
Second half was where Naas doubled their efforts. After resisting sustained pressure Naas broke through for the equaliser from David Beloiu. Soon after Naas played a goal kick short and worked it across the defence and into midfield where a great through ball put David Beloiu in again who unselfishly squared it for Sean Savage to tap in. It was a goal that should be hung in the Louvre and will be spoken about in time on a par with Cuchulainn, Paul O'Donovan and Katie Taylor!
The league leaders succumbed again shortly after to the pace of David Beloiu where he neatly finished to give a two goal cushion before Sean Savage extended the lead in the closing moments.
Naas win and yet the biggest takeaway is that Naas are becoming a force to be reckoned with.
