Girls U11's Wildcats - Leafield Lightning

The Wildcats unbeaten run continues (now 5 games unbeaten) but that was under serious threat at half time after we slept through the entire first half and made things very difficult for ourselves. 💤🥱  Our first experience of playing in cold weather and we definitely struggled with both the early start and the cold today.

We were still mostly asleep at the start of the second half but Rosie woke everyone up when she scored her first goal for the team and a really important goal as well because it meant we were back in the game! ⚽️ 2 minutes after scoring her first, Rosie scored her second! ⚽️ Two very good finishes and her best individual performance so far -  Player of the match and Parents player of the match. ⭐️ Lots more goals to come over the next few weeks.

We looked much the better team for the remainder of the game and created lots of chances. It looked as though we had scored the winning goal in the very last minute to complete the turnaround but the referee disallowed it... nobody knows why.. that just one of some very questionable decisions during the game.

Brooke played in goal for the first time during the second half - well done for volunteering!
