Boys U13 (2012) Premier White - Athy

A day to forget. An early kick off appeared to catch our lads off guard. After a shaky start Naas carved out a few chances which suggested there were points there for the taking. Unfortunately Naas conceded a staggering 5 goals in a 10 minute spell effectively ending the game as a contest. 

The Naas team were then tasked with winning the second half. As the whistle sounded at the restart Naas applied themselves with the grit and determination that earned them their 5 points from their first 3 league games.

While arguably the better team in the second half, Athy stuck to their script and brought home the 3 points.

Losing a game is tough but losing in the way this game was lost was a bitter pill to swallow. Naas will need to dust themselves down and learn from their mistakes as they welcome AC Celtic in the SFAI Cup next weekend.
