Congratulations Kian Lawlor & Max Power!

On behalf of everyone at Naas AFC, we want to offer our massive congratulations to Kian Lawlor and Max Power who were part of the successful KDUL team which won the SFAI U14 Interleague Cup Final at UL yesterday afternoon. There were also several ex-Naas AFC players in the winning squad, which is also great to see.

Max plays with our U14 Premier Blue team, while Kian is playing a year up on our U15 Premier team. We’re sure the two lads will get a fantastic welcome back from their teammates at training next week.

The KDUL Interleague teams offer a fantastic development pathway for our best players, who get the opportunity to represent their county and showcase their talent on the national stage each season from U12 to U16. They can do this while remaining members of their grassroots home club where they can continue to play competitive league and cup campaigns with their friends.

Next up for these Interleague players is the Kennedy Cup tournament which takes place in June. The Kennedy Cup has provided breakthrough opportunities in the past for many Irish internationals, including Evan Ferguson, Roy Keane, John O’Shea and Damien Duff.
