Beaconsfield RFC appoints Russell Bolton as new Head Coach

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Russell Bolton as Beaconsfield Rugby Club's new Head Coach. Russ is super excited to get started, to meet the players and to ensure we have a really productive pre-season.

We met a number of strong candidates for the role and Russ stood out, not only the experience he will bring to the role but also his rugby philosophy which was very much aligned to our approach and aspirations. Russ joins us from Tring (level 5) where he coached the backs for the past four seasons and prior to that was Head Coach at Maidenhead for four seasons, bringing them from level 6 to 3rd in the table at level 5. Russ is an ex Rugby Development Officer for the RFU and a level 3 qualified coach.

Following our unbeaten league season we are rejoining level 6, playing the likes of local sides Marlow & Aylesbury as well as some exciting fixtures against London Scottish, Grasshoppers, Hemel Hempstead and London Irish too. Russ clearly knows what is needed to progress through these leagues and not only sustain our L6 status but to push on to the top half of the table.

Russ will work with our existing coaching team and will be looking at boosting it further with additional specialist forward expertise.
