Girls U11's Wildcats - Alvechurch foundation

A close fought match this morning between two very competitive teams.

Wildcats started on top before Alvechurch grew into the game, taking the lead with Stockton asleep from a throw-in. 😴😴😴

Emilie-Rose made some important saves in the first half to keep us in the game. Hollie playing further forward, hit the post just before half time whilst Rosie had a couple of opportunities to score in the first half as well.

Maisie scored early in the second half to even the score and got the winner ten minutes later. 2 great goals. ⚽️⚽️

We were unfortunate not to score again afterwards, Maisie and Lily-Rae both hitting the post.

We rode our luck a bit towards the end when Alvechurch also hit the post but Brooke/Arabella/Rosie were solid in defence. Emily’s first appearance in goal after halftime was fantastic - 3 really big saves 🧤, one of which looked a certain goal. 

Tilly was brilliant today - 100% effort, never stopped running, won the ball back multiple times and managed to get the ball forwards for us as well. 

2 wins in a row, unbeaten in 4.. let’s keep it going next week.
